Miniport

In het kort

Will it be the cool-looking police boat, the tough lifeboat or perhaps the sleek cruise ship? Miniport’s electric boats enable children from the age of four to experience steering their own boats. On shore, children learn about shipping and harbour life. At Miniport, you can even learn how to operate a crane or tie knots!

Miniport is one of the Amsterdamse Bos’s newest attractions. Miniport is a small harbour for children aged four and up in the Grote Vijver near the Grote Speelweide play area where children can choose and steer their own boat on the lake. Will it be the cool-looking police boat, tough lifeboat or perhaps the sleek cruise ship? There are no fewer than five different boats in the harbour to choose from.

Steer your own boat

At Miniport you get to steer your own boat, by yourself! All you have to do is hold on to the wheel and keep an eye on your compass and the other boats. Would like your father, sister or friend to hop on board? No problem! There’s plenty of room for a few extra sailors.

Learn about shipping

On shore you will learn more about ships, the sea and harbour life. Learn how hydropower works or how to operate a crane or tie knots. All sailors receive a certificate of competence at the end of their adventures.
