Visitors' Centre 'De Boswinkel'

Entering the Bos through the main entrance at the Van Nijenrodeweg, you won’t be able to miss Visitors’ Centre 'De Boswinkel'. With its domed shape and curved wooden finishing, it is a fitting entrance to one of the largest city parks in Europe.

Visitors' Centre 'De Boswinkel'

The shop at Visitors’ Centre 'De Boswinkel' sells maps to help you navigate your way through the Forest. Just remember that the Amsterdamse Bos is three times the size of New York’s Central Park!

If you have any forest-related questions, please visit the De Boswinkel. Our staff will be delighted to help you. It is also a perfect place to buy souvenirs or to join an activity in the forest as a guided walk or an activity for families. De Boswinkel also offers visitors free admission to varying exhibitions.

You can contact De Boswinkel by telephone (020-251 7840) and e-mail (deboswinkel@amsterdam.nl) at the usual opening hours: Wednesday-Sunday: 10am-17pm.

In summer, amateur fishing is also allowed in the part of the forest south of the A9 motorway.
