Boskalender
The Amsterdamse Bos organises excursions, workshops and more about the flora, fauna and nature reserves.
Cherry blossom park
In spring, you can enjoy the beautiful blossoms in the Blossom Park (Bloesempark).
Bostheater
In summer, the Bostheater hosts performances and concerts in a remarkable open air theatre.
Food and drinks
Scattered throughout the Amsterdamse Bos, you will find farms, cafés, kiosks and restaurants.
Boat tour
With a forest ranger at the helm, boat tours are available through the winding waters of the Amsterdamse Bos (April through November).
Ferries
From April to October, two ferries operate across the Nieuwe Meer to and from the Amsterdamse Bos.
Museumtram
The Museum Tram departs from Haarlemmermeer Station and has several stops along the Amsterdamse Bos.
Children
Adventure Trail
Have you always wanted to sit on a perch in front of your house like a bird? The Adventure Trail introduces children to nature in a playful way.
Play ground
There are several children's playgrounds in the Amsterdamse Bos. Grab your bicycle and see if you can find them all!
Play islands
In summer, the islands in the Grote Vijver are an adventurous water playground and play forest for children.
Children's pools
For small children, we have two paddling pools in the Forest with a kiosk, picnic benches, playground equipment and public toilet facilities.
Goat farm
The Ridammerhoeve goat farm is located in the middle of the forest and includes a petting zoo, cheese factory and playground.
Fun Forest
Swing from tree to tree through the Bos via ropes, ladders, bridges and zip lines.
Boerderij Meerzicht
At Boerderij Meerzicht, at the start of the Bosbaan, you can enjoy the sunny terrace and the most delicious pancakes.
Mini Captain
Mini Captain is a small harbour for children aged four and up in the Grote Vijver near the Speelweide.
Walking trails and working out
Swimming
For small children, there are two play pools in the forest with a kiosk, picnic benches, playground equipment and public toilet facilities.
Canoe rental
Canoe and pedal boat rental is located at the Grote Speelweide. Discover the Forest in a unique way.
Sup & Meer
At Sup & Meer, you can rent boards, take lessons and go on tours through the Amsterdamse Bos.
Riding schools
There are two horse riding schools in the Amsterdamse Bos: Manege Nieuw Amstelland and De Amsterdamse Manege.
