Planning on making a lovely walk through Amsterdam's biggest urban forest? On this page, you will find eight routes in the Amsterdamse Bos. The walking routes take you through various nature reserves. Are you looking for a fun outing for the whole family? The Amsterdamse Bos app offers free treasure hunts for children in nature.
Please note: we are working to clear a backlog of maintenance in the Bos. During the work, some walking routes will be inaccessible or only partially accessible. See also Work in progress and projects.
1. Use our smartphone application

You can find all walks, special seasonal walks and challenging children's treasure hunts in the free Amsterdamse Bos app. Download the app for iOS (iPhone) and Android and discover the routes digitally, including fun facts about various points along the routes.
In addition, the route descriptions of the walks are available on paper for 1.50 each or a set of six walks for €7.00. The booklets are available at De Boswinkel.
2. Treasure hunts for kids

You can also dive into the wonderful world of the Beleefpad (Adventure Trail) just 100 metres from De Boswinkel. You can walk the Beleefpad with a free audio tour on the website or in the Bos app.
3. Oude Polderwandeling

De Oude Polderwandeling (7 km) offers a beautiful view of what the polder landscape used to look like.

There are also walking routes through the Amstelland Walking Network Forest:

A number of paths and walking routes in the Forest are included in the North Holland junction walking network. This makes it possible to plan longer walking routes that cross the Forest.
